Destruction of the natural environment is one huge reason to speed up comprehensive constitutional reform in Indonesia's, and a second good reason is to help contain corruption. How can ethnic minorities win respect in authoritarian countries? In Hong Kong, the answer can be seen in Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law and the two Conventions, which are designed protect the right of peoples to self-determination. The people have the right to express their opinion in a referendum on any public issue, and. The people of Hong Kong should abide by the two conventions and call for a referendum to decide their future. Otherwise, when dictatorship becomes a reality, it will be the duty of the people to resist.

The most rational approach for the US is to support Taiwan's model for global unity constitutional standards. This would attract the attention of China's 1.4 billion people and lead them to seek democratization, and world peace would then be at hand! Autocracy has always the enemy of peace, and the prerequisite for permanent peace in the world is democratization of the CCP. Taiwan is the one entity best able to lead China to democratization. History tells us that freedom and dignity are won with the blood and tears of the people, but also it also takes blood and sweat to maintain these gains - one cannot rely on the goodwill of the leaders.
