Social critic Roman Roland once noted that: "In politics, the boss is always money." When elections devolve into a rich man’s game, they naturally become little more than using money to make more money – and the whole system is corrupted. To put an end to ties between the worlds of politics and business, what is needed is comprehensive constitutional reform. Elect the heads of the four main branches of government in alternating years and makes elections free of charge for all candidates cut off the symbiotic links between government and corruption.
