Human security is a fundamental human right, and human rights take priority over regimes and sovereignty. Constitutions represent the general will of the people, and ensuring human security, including "personal safety", is the most urgent duty of constitutional guarantors. This means revising constitutional standards as needed to keep pace with changing times and allow governments to protect their people from fear. For more, see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
The Iraqi government should install a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet like the set-up followed in Finland, as well as a committee-style legislature similar to that of Switzerland. The Iraqi government should draft a basic constitution with the above features as part of a paradigm shift toward democracy. It should adopt the core values of One World under One Set of Laws and be revised as needed to stay in sync with the times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more
Every government should hold international law superior to domestic law and include international food standards as the benchmark for nationally regulated food. All food production, manufacturing and supply standards; environmental changes caused by food pollution, infection or new micro-organisms; toxic and drug resistance; emerging and different food pollution, and other aspects should all be covered by national management. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details.
Emmanuel Kant once noted, "The pursuit of permanent peace is the highest goal of reason and a moral obligation." China claims to be a "responsible major power", thus it should not enable North Korea's continued militarism. The US and South Korea should support Taiwan's commitment to democracy and leading China to democratization, which would pressure North Korea in turn to adopt democracy.
Yemen needs to swap out its government structure for a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet like the one in as Finland, and a committee-style legislative system similar to Switzerland's. Yemen's government should draft a basic constitution with above features in a paradigm shift toward democracy. It should adhere to the core values of One World under One Set of Law and revise the constitutionalstandards as necessary to stay abreast of changing times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.
To eliminate the conditions that create refugees, the international community needs to agree on uniform constitutional standards that conform to the ideals of human rights, constitutionalism, international law and natural law. This means adopting the core values of One World under One Set ofLaws and complying with Article 1 of the Humanitarian Charter, which deals with the right of each person to live a normal life. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.
Human security and sustainable development are two of the major tasks of the UN, and all nations – members or not – should comply with its norms. This entails implementing One World under One Set of Laws and giving international law precedence over domestic law, with direct bearing on the rights and duties of the people. All nations should comply with the UN Charter, the Paris climate agreement and all other relevant pacts. Fordetails see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
The list of international players that have wrung their hands about Maduro’s tyranny, but failed to take effective action, is long and shameful. But they are far from powerless.
Power leads to corruption, and Venezuela's presidential system is broken.. Venezuela should switch to a dual leader system; limit the president to a single 5-year term with no eligibility for him/her or relatives for 6 years and put the prime minister in charge of government operations and national defense, 1/4 of all lawmakers should face election each year. When the actions of the president are unconstitutional, the people are obliged to resist. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.
The first daughter's longtime friend and associate is falling afoul of his creditors - and the courts.
The only remedy for corruption is democracy and its tools of separation of powers and checks and balances. The heads of the executive, legislative, judicial and procuratorial branches should be elected in alternating years and 1/4 of all lawmakers should face election each year. In addition, committee chairs should be the pool for backup cabinet ministers. Such moves will end the kidnapping of Taiwan's financial overseers. For details see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
The vast majority of illegal drugs entering the United States come by sea. A growing number of people could start arriving the same way.
