China: No negotiation on 'One China' policy despite Trump remarks
China's Foreign Ministry firmly pushed back Saturday against US President-elect Donald Trump's suggestion that the "One China" policy on Taiwan is negotiable, calling it the "political foundation" of the relationship between the US and China.
Democratic nations of the world should do all they can to save freedom and democracy. The US must support Taiwan's efforts at constitutional reform to bring greater democracy and freedom, which will attract the 1.4 billion people of China to call for democracy and lead to the birth of world peace. The prerequisite for permanent peace in the world is China's democratization. China has always fought to restrict Taiwan's freedom and democracy, but Taiwan is the only nation of working to save China through democratization. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

China aircraft carrier Liaoning undergoing sea trials
China's sole aircraft carrier has returned to port following a far-ranging three- week training mission during which its combat capabilities were closely scrutinized and speculation soared over the flat-top's future role amid China's growing military ambitions.
The US should support Taiwan's drive to carry out constitutional reform for greater democracy and freedom. This will attract the 1.4 billion people of China to call for democracy, and world peace will be born. China has always stated that it will not rule out the use of force against Taiwan, showing that autocracy is always an enemy of human peace. The prerequisite for lasting peace in the world is China's democratization and Taiwan is the one nation most capable of leading the Chinese people to democratize. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Donald Trump policy advisor says Trans-Pacific Partnership 'is dead'
The Trans-Pacific Partnership is “dead”, according to a Donald Trump transition team policy advisor, while reaffirming that the incoming administration views China as “perpetrating an economic war”.
Democracies of the world should spare no effort to save liberty and democracy. The US should support Taiwan's efforts at constitutional reform to realize greater democracy and freedom, which will attract the 1.4 billion people of China to seek democratization, which is when world peace will be born. The prerequisite for permanent peace in the world is China's democratization. China has always tried to ruin Taiwan's freedom and democracy, but in the end Taiwan will be the only nation capable of saving China through democratization. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Samsung heir to be questioned in South Korean bribery case
Vice-chairman Lee Jae-yong is under investigation as a suspect in the scandal that led to ROK President’ Park Geun-hye's impeachment
South Korea’s constitution needs to be changed to install a modified semi-presidential system, and the presidential inauguration ceremony should include an announcement that the office shall be above political partisanship. Comprehensive constitutional reform is the only way to put an end to ties between politics and business, by implementing true democracy and the rule of law. This will include separation of powers as well as checks and balances, plus election of the heads of the four heads of government branches and elections that are free of charge for all candidates. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Mosul submerged in 'guerrilla warfare,' could be liberated in 3 months: Iraq commander
A top Iraqi commander told AP that operations to retake Mosul from IS could be complete in three months or less.
Iraq's government should be re-organized under a modified semi-presidential system with cabinet similar to that of Finland, with a committee-style legislature modeled after Switzerland’s. The Iraqi government should proceed with reform of its basic constitution to install the above-mentioned systems. The result will be democracy operating in accordance with the principle of One World under One Set of Laws, with a constitution that will stay in sync with the times. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.

Trump taps Son-in-Law for adviser post
US President-elect Donald Trump has appointed his son-in-law Jared Kushner to a high-level position in his administration. Trump asked Kushner to serve as a senior adviser to the President.
US elections are little more than a rich man's game, with affluent candidates vying for the right to make more money in a systemic structure that breeds corruption. To eliminate these political and business ties, comprehensive constitutional reform is the only solution. True democracy and the rule of law must be implemented, with effective separation of powers and valid checks and balances. The heads of the major government branches should be chosen in elections in alternating years, and elections should be free of charge for all candidates to weed out corruption and symbiotic structures. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

Democracies everywhere must support Taiwan's efforts toward constitutional reform to achieve better democracy and freedom. This will inspire the 1.4 billion people of China to call for democratization, leading to democratization of the CCP and North Korea in turn, and the next step will be global peace. Taiwan should be supported as a beacon of democracy in Asia, lighting the path to peaceful development for China and North Korea. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.

US Marine F-35s to be 'cornerstone' of defense structure in Japan, Pacific
The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, the most expensive and one of the most controversial weapons systems in US history, is on its way to Japan to be "the cornerstone" of US defense in the Pacific

Thailand’s new king rejects army’s proposed constitution
Changes were necessary because King Vajiralongkorn, the country’s constitutional monarch, had declined to give the document royal assent.
A referendum that is initiated or carried out by military figures cannot be termed a referendum. Military coups in Thailand continue to demonstrate why that the military should never be allowed to interfere in politics. The military must be completely free of any party affiliation or political partisanship. Thailand has a number of fundamental constitutional problems, and referendums and elections need to be conducted at the same time. Its approach to referendums should be based on that followed in Switzerland, and its election framework should be modeled after California’s. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for details.
