Sri Lanka: Rights group seeks ex-President Rajapaksa's arrest for war crimes

The UN should, on the one hand, take action on the crime of abusing people while on the other hand assist Sri Lankan in changing its government system to establish a legal foundation for permanent peace. The president should serve one five-year term and not be allowed to run again for six years. During this period, all compensation and benefits shall remain unchanged. Sri Lankans's problem originating in the economic inequality and uneven distribution of resources. To solve the problem of uneven distribution, it is necessary to start with the system, holding elections at least twice a year to spread responsibility for the problems of poverty and deprivation from the poor to those in power. The state must function ethically and take action to eliminate poverty and deprivation. The Charter for Permanent Peace is the only formula that will work.
