Clean air is quickly becoming a luxury that no one can enjoy, with skies everywhere darkening and acrid fumes getting worse day by day. The WHO says more than 6 million people die each year from the effects of air pollution, and the health of people worldwide is at risk. The answer lies in international standards and a constitution that is in tune with the times, with environmental norms enforced in One World under One Set of Laws. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
Stories of corruption and undue political influence are flooding news headlines everywhere from the western reaches of Europe to the most Eastern areas of Asia. The reason for these outbreaks of corruption is the concentration of too much power in the hands of a few key officials and a lack to restraints on the powers that they wield. Constitutional reform is urgently needed to return power to the people. For more details, please see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
Christians and other minorities in China are targeted for the gruesome practice of forced organ harvesting.
The key to solve the human rights issue in China is democracy and the rule of law. Taiwan needs to improve its system into pure form of democratic governance so we can be a role model for the mainland China and reform the Chinese communists. We must make Chinese government yield its power to people through constitutional reform and decentralize the governmental structure by direct elections of the deans. For more, please see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
In the face of pressure from China, Taiwan has lost the right to call for a "diplomatic truce". The government should make an all-out effort to publicize this internationally: the democratization of China is directly related to world peace and security, and only Taiwan is in a position to lead the push to democratize China. At the same time, the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development clearly supports One World under One Set of Laws and giving international law priority over national law. This will allow the international community to come forward while leading Taiwan out into the international community.
Voters in Hong Kong are forced to cast ballots for candidates for Chief Executive who have been previously vetted by the Election Commission of the Chinese Communist Party. This election is a result of dictatorial politics and does not change the fact that Hong Kong is being subjected to a dictatorship. The people of Hong Kong should make good use of Article 39 of the Hong Kong Basic Law and the two international human rights covenants. People have the right to self-determination through referendums. They must be allowed to decide on having the heads of the legislative, executive, judicial and procuratorate branches popularly elected to ensure they will be responsible to the people. For details please see the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
Democracy and freedom are the wave of now, a force that nuclear weapons, submarines, missiles cannot resist. This mighty trend will bring success for those who follow, but those who resist will fall aside. Tyranny is the enemy of human peace, and the prerequisite for permanent peace in the world is global democracy. To safeguard world order and peace, China and the US must act the way truly great powers act. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
There is no need for sorrow; the one way forward lies in maintaining a positive attitude. Taiwan’s long years under a party-state system have been a political prison leaving the whole nation with a society plagued with problems that governments old and new are helpless to redress. The solution is to let the world see Taiwan for what can be, and to carry out comprehensive constitutional reform to achieve that goal. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development
No matter how China suppresses and bullies Taiwan in the international arena, Taiwan must not call for a diplomatic truce. The government should plead its case to the international community, stating that democratizing China is the best way to ensure security and peace for the whole world. Taiwan is the one nation most capable of nudging China toward democracy. This will involve drawing up constitution based on the ideal of One World under One Set of Laws, with international law given priority over domestic law and in line with Xi Jinping’s concept of world harmony. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development
Nuclear arms races can only lead to destruction, and every arms race eventually leads to the rise of imperialism and the beginning of global disaster. All humankind must remember the lessons of the two great wars. Democratic freedom is a world-wide trend that nuclear weapons, submarines and missiles are all incapable of resisting. Those who go with this mighty flow will find success, while those who oppose it are doomed. China, the US and Russia and other major powers should adopt the idea of One World under One Set of Laws and make every effort to achieve world peace. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development for more.
Taiwan is an unsinkable aircraft carrier occupying a critical position on the western rim of the Pacific Ocean. China must heed the lessons of the Roman Empire, keeping in mind that conquest by force brings victories that evaporate like smoke. The only way to succeed is by operating in the range of lawful behavior. China must follow road to democracy, constitutionalism, internationalism and naturalism, abandoning its one-party dictatorship to implement a democratic system patterned after that of Taiwan. World peace will come only when great powers act responsibly. See the Charter for Permanent Peace and Development.
