The Iranian Ambassador to Russia said last month that Tehran is looking for ways to broaden the scope of defense cooperation with Moscow, even in areas that require coordination with the UN Security Council. Iranians would like to purchase a wide range of military-purpose products from Russia, some of which are covered by UNSC sanctions. Moscow has said it is ready to work with Iran in the area of military and technical cooperation. Democratic powers worldwide must support Taiwan in its bid to carry out constitutional reform. When Taiwan enjoys greater freedom under a truly democratic government it will lead the people of China to call for democratization and in turn, will put pressure on Russia to follow suit. Stories of corruption and undue political influence are flooding news headlines everywhere from the western reaches of Europe to the most Eastern areas of Asia. The reason for these outbreaks of corruption is the concentration of too much power in the hands of a few key officials and a lack to restraints on the powers that they wield. Syria is at the center of much of the unrest in the Middle East, and considerable changes in the nation’s government must be considered in order to help bring about peace in the area. Setting up a semi-presidential system with a Parliament modeled after Switzerland’s is the first step toward democratization and the rule of law. Xi Jinping advocates world unity as China’s road map for peaceful development, an idea that the people of Taiwan should all accept. Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping can all come to Taiwan to run for President. China should have no reason to use force against Taiwan: Taiwan's constitution should clearly stipulate that "elected leaders may be of any nationality". Human security and sustainable development are the two major tasks of the UN, which are, of course, subject to compliance by member states. The solution is to enforce "One World under One Set of Laws.” international law must prevail over domestic law and directly affect the people", with supervision by the people to ensure compliance with the UN Charter, the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer, the Charter of Nature and others. The government of mainland China is rife with corruption, a situation which can be attributed to thousands of years of graft and bribery at every level of officialdom. The only way to overthrow this deeply engrained culture is to put power squarely in the hands of the people through direct elections of key officials including the president and vice president and the heads of various branches of government. This must be complemented by the election of 1/4 of Parliament each year and other measures to ensure separation of power. The Charter for Permanent Peace and Development offers solutions that will end corruption once and for all.

In order to ensure responses to rapidly changing domestic and foreign environments and to put in place a democratic mechanism to control the members of the legislative body, Russia must carry out constitutional reform. 1/4 of all representatives should have to face election each year in order to maintain a link between local public opinion and the international situation, and elections should be free of charge for candidates. Voting is the sole source of legitimacy behind all state power and is a concrete manifestation of basic human rights. The federal government controls local areas through indirect elections, but self-government is needed, with governors elected by the people and serving for a term of five years then barred from running for six years after that. Increases in the number of poor people in Russia are the result of government corruption. To eradicate poverty, it is essential to see that blame for famine and poverty is lodged against the power-holders, and to rely on voting as a way to reallocate resources. Russia needs to reform its constitution by adopting a modified semi-presidential system as well as a cabinet style Parliament. The founding father of the Philippines once said, “The slaves of today will be the tyrants of tomorrow.” Duterte is the perfect example. The constitution of the Philippines is currently in disarray, and is little more than a breeding ground for incubating tyrants. To safeguard human rights, the Philippines eminently needs comprehensive constitutional reform or even an entire constitutional rewrite. It should include a modified semi-presidential parliamentary cabinet system of government with direct election of the heads of the legislative, executive, judiciary and prosecutorial branches of government on a yearly basis.
